Caravan Park, Kiama, NSW

If you are looking for a great campsite / caravan park in Kiama we found one that literally has everything! Big4 Easts Beach Caravan Park has definitely established itself as the best caravan park in Kiama. As it turns out, a few of our facebook friends have also stayed here and loved the park too.  The location on Easts Beach is absolutely stunning and the facilities are the best we have seen so far.

We got a warm welcome from the friendly staff at reception, and then we followed one of the groundsmen to our site. He happily pointed out the nearest amenities block, access points to the beach, walking trails, fishing spots, bbqs, and answered all the other questions we had too.

There's a beautiful swimming pool in the park which we would have normally made good use of, but it was a little on the chilly side and we weren't brave enough to test the water temperature.  There's also tennis courts, a takeaway and cafe, heaps of cabins, very modern amenities, a little massage studio which looks very cute, a mini mart if you need the essentials, nice and clean covered bbqs, a big playground for the kids, and also a courtesy bus to local clubs and return which is handy if you want to have dinner in town and a few drinks. If that isn't enough, they are also building a jumping pillow for the kids as well!

Kiama is a stunning little seaside town on the South coast of NSW about 125 klms South of Sydney and we loved exploring the town. It was essentially a small fishing village, but has grown to cater for holidaymakers and those who fall in love with the magnificent coastal scenery and want to move to the area.

Kiama is famous for it's Blow Hole and Lighthouse which jut out into the ocean on a small peninsula which also provides good shelter for the local fishing boats. The blow hole is a favourite with visitors to the area and puts on a spectacular show, especially when the seas are high and surging waves are pounding the coast.

It was very cold, wet and the wind must have been close to gale force when we were there. It was really treacherous so we keep our distance from the cliff edges and ended up taking shelter in the cafe next to the Information Centre at the Blow Hole for a much needed hot cup of coffee.
