Coffs Harbour

We recently enjoyed a lovely few days on the Coffs Harbour coast, catching up with some old friends in Woolgoolga who we had not seen for about ten years, and Helens lovely niece in Coffs Harbour.

While we were there we stayed at the beautiful Park Beach Holiday Park which has the most amazing location on Ocean Parade. You can easily walk to the wonderful Coffs Harbour Jetty and enjoy a coffee or fish and chips while you are taking in the sights of the beautiful marina where professional fishing boats, yachts and cruisers add to the spectacular harbour scene.

The caravan park is very well appointed and has many family friendly activities on site such as:
  • Swimming pool
  • Waterslides
  • Slippery dips
  • Water fountains
  • Playgrounds
  • Jumping pillow
  • Camp kitchen
  • BBQ's
  • School holiday kids activities
It's a great place to take some time out from travels
and perhaps meet up with your family, particularly if there are young grandchildren who like to be entertained. In the busy summer months it may be a bit too popular if you are looking for some peace and quiet and are just on your own.

It's also a great place if you are looking for some harvest work, particularly if you want to plan an Australian working holiday because there is lots of work available picking blueberries and harvesting bananas in the area.

It is certainly a great location for visiting the local Coffs Harbour attractions such as:
• Pet Porpoise Pool
• Botanic Gardens
• Big Banana

The usual range of accommodation is on offer from luxury two bedroom Ocean Villas to Family Cabins with comfortable living space. There are also cabins without ensuites which are close to the amenities block.

It was time for a treat, so we booked into one of the Ensuite powered sites, which was modern and well appointed. There are also Drive-Through sites for your caravan or motorhome, with or without an ensuite, or you can choose from a variety of Powered and Unpowered sites. If you want one with shade it pays to ask at reception when you arrive, or beforehand if you make a prior booking. Australia has some great caravan parks around the country and this is one of them.
