Montville, Sunshine Coast Qld

A great day in Montville... a small town about 15klms from Maleny in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Montville is about 450m above sea level so you can expect a cooler climate than on the coast, and it was certainly a chilly day when we visited in early June.

Montville is clearly a well thought out and well presented town, with many vibrant businesses in the main street offering everything from coffee and chocolate to arts and crafts, and as many restaurants as you could possibly visit in a busy long weekend of dining... some with outstanding open air views over the Blackall Ranges.

There are also some quaint bed & breakfast accommodation options which are clearly the favoured form of shelter in the area. Caravan Parks are fairly thin on the ground and caravanners would be well advised to book ahead in one of the few available. The Maleny Showground is a great option in a central location for exploring the area, and at $15 per night for power / water / showers / toilets, is an economical option as well. Photos here are taken in Montville.
